chillun’

Just got a confirm from Caleb that the records are in and pre-orders are now up and sprinting for the Truman Peyote 7″ split with Turtle Ambulance. This is tight. Order yours here or come to the FMLY x Breakfast of Champs party on Friday at Surreal Estate in Brooklyn and pick it up in the cardboard and vinyl flesh! We’ll talk more about the party this week, but Truman Peyote, Many Mansions, Max Alper, Philip Seymour Hoffman, and Cop Magnet are rawkin’ the jams all night. Big ups to ohmyrockness for featuring the show at the top of their page! Truman Peyote and Many Mansions’ 12″ split is on the way in the next few weeks.

shroomin’ & railin’ peyote

While anxiously waiting to hear Truman Peyote’s new cassette, Everything Oozes, it doesn’t hurt to get a glimpse of what the haps is via their forthcoming New Wife New Life / I’m Gonna Be Okay split 7″ with the homies Turtle Ambulance. Taking the illustrious role of a b-side, “Steelstack” stays way true to a TP live show presenting a rhythmelodic structure fronted by a glitched out fanaticism of a killer carousel custom built for the most psychotic of burnt out PCP smokers. Lay back and protect ya’ neck, this one is going to be anything but a strung out ride. Thanks to impose for the heads up.

Truman Peyote – Steelstack

Caleb and Eric (EASYBOY) have been working on these jams separate from each other by way of Toronto and Jamaica Plains (Massachusetts). This split 7″ will see release on Breakfast of Champs on December 15, Everything Oozes on Mirror Universe in either Nov/Dec, and in January TP are dropping more delicious sticky jams on a Peaced Together split 7″ with Many Mansions on Whitehaus Family Recs.

And hey, as long as we’re already talking about our pals I’m just gonna drop this Railcars remix and once again thank Jeremy Krinsley over at Impose for pretty much being the man.

no children in this turtle ambulance

While laying down in the park one afternoon bubbles of watercolor rise from the grass, staining the blades as they pop. Their sounds echo between the valleys of impression and resonate in footprints, swirling around bodies and carried off into the air for universal enjoyment. A melody with a path is not predictable, especially when carrying the variables of Turtle Ambulance.

Heading into gorgeous ‘everything is an instrument’ territory, this new Turtle Ambulance jam goes from observational recordings to tropical-electronic bliss. This three minute journey is an exclusive FMLY download and will appear on the Whitehaus Family Records double-12″ sampler. The chimes, ostinato and lyrical behavior all suggest qualities of youth making “Child” not only a playful jammer but also a tune that would like a little reaction back from the listener. Grab a washboard, bob or head or sing-a-long…just match the heart put into it!

We’re dedicated to mixing, manufacturing, distributing, and supporting artists we think have something worth listening to.
