I was reading the Daily News tonight to find out what went down in Central Park yesterday afternoon (while everyone was at Girl Talk in Williamsburg). Apparently Sunday was national topless day and women from all over the country were in the park to bare almost all of it for supporting equality concerning normalization of the female body. I fully support this and think it’s a rad stand, but this was news to me:
New York is the only state in the country where women can be topless legally, after a 1992 ruling in the state’s highest court. That means any woman can walk around the city at any time with no shirt on. [via]
Yes, you read that correctly. This changes everything.
