For those, like me, who don’t keep up with the Hype Machine, I seem to have written the number one post of a few days last week introducing the world to FMLY veteran DJDT. Although the tunes of DJDT are nothing new to you guys and gals, it’s awesome that the rest of the blogodome has a soft spot for Robert Cepeda’s club-friendly dancefloor sm4sh h1ts. Characterized by catchy midi-written hooks, pitch-altered vocals and the occasional whamp, DJDT’s latest is a Killers remix. Seeing as how we’ve never blogged about the Killers before I honestly could not tell you what song this is a remix of or what album it’s off of. With Roberto’s midas touch the track has suddenly become not only a favorite of mine, but considering the reaction I got from spinning it this past weekend, it will probably become a well played track on your iTunes as well. Pump up the volume and enjoy. Seriously Robert, we’re probably your biggest fans…after Noah Diamond who thankfully hits me up about these tracks.

Philip Seymour Hoffman, our anonymous buddy who I think I can pin an identity on now, has just sent over a sweet little cover of Animal Collective’s “Brothersport.” Although seemingly incomplete and apparently a first version, I find it to be worth posting mostly due to my love of Animal Collective and the tune’s unique approach to the tune.
