sunny day for fallon

Jimmy genuinely looks like a fan of Sunny Day Real Estate which is super rad, but appropriate to the times the affection doesn’t appear to be too mutual. The dudes (original lineup) performed “Seven” to a tee and now more respected than ever (until Pete Wentz starts gushing on how they inspired Fall Out Boy) are hitting the road again. Peep the vid above and download one of my favorite tunes ever below. I love Sub Pop, but guys, c’mon… you just began to tip taste into the anus of Nirvana once more, lets just let the original pressings of Diary sell themselves out this time around. Think economical!

Sunny Day Real Estate – In Circles

ps. anyone up for google bombing jimmy fallon? power to the people!

Noah Says: New No Age!

Whaaaat!? A new No Age track courtesy of Sub Pop from the upcoming Nouns LP? CRAZY! FMLY loves No Age just about as much as we love Vampire Weekend. Absolutely t-shirt crazy over them.

Fleet Foxes Rule

I feel that right now, Fleet Foxes are that big small band that Death Cab, Grizzly Bear or Vampire Weekend once were. Their sound is so strong and defined that I am just sitting here waiting for the moment that they appear on SNL or some other late night show. Fleet Foxes is a band of five from Seattle and are fitting signed to Sup Pop, once homage to Death Cab and Nirvana… unfortunately not at the same time. Give them a listen, it’ll be worth it in several months time when they’re on the cover of Spin and all of your friends commend you for catching them at the beginning of their megaton wave.
