Destroy LA is this Saturday and is a special night for for so many reasons. Not only will Daedelus, Gaslamp Killer, Nosaj Thing, Flying Lotus, and FMLY FRNDS Jogger be laying down some serious beat to our city, but FMLY’s pride and joy, [Post-foetus], will also be packing up all of our favorite jams to unravel against the Fonda floors. We couldn’t be more proud of Will, you stuck to it man! For more info, refer to the fbook event.

three cheers for ambient minimalism

A new track from Geotic was sent out via Fbook today featuring Mario Luna (Meals for Children, Nephews, Milk, etc) on vocals. Skipping rocks across a river which feeds into a great waterfall, when the rocks sink below the surface their destiny becomes the action of falling. Their motive is to seek new ground to lay upon and whether it be a 1000year shift and they take on new shape or form these rocks will make it, only to be skipped again one day. The endless recycling of a unique experience.

nanotech serenade

New full-length from Will Wiesenfeld’s Geotic. Duchenne Smile collects samples from the past year and audible memories which Will has archived. As usual, we highly recommend the free download – and props to Will’s recent final Nephew’s show and [Post-foetus] opening for Themselves a few days ago? Congrats homie! Reviewing this EP later, still laying in bed and listening through for my first time. And peep this Oh My Rockness Po-fo band bio.

New [Post-foetus] DJ beats from the archive of Will Wiesenfeld. Recommended for fans of the Field aka highly recommended. Very soothing to play a speech or audiobook over. Will recently played a show at the Roxy supporting Super Mash Bros, make sure to catch him with the po-fo band at FMLY’s Beach Dazed.

[Post-foetus] – Waking Up to Sunlight, Clouds, and Possibilities (15MB, via rapidshare)

Unofficial video for Best Coast’s “Sun Was High (So Was I)” put together by Pat Vamos whom we’ve blogged about in the past. Guy has a knack for knowing great tunes and putting together visual correlation.

[post-foetus] live at the echo

If there’s anyone who deserves a great big hug this summer it’s Will Wiesenfeld for the pursuit of [Post-foetus] and developing a sound which encompasses the senses of himself and closest friends. The [Post-foetus] live band including Luke Silas (Anamanaguchi, The Histories, Dracula Mountain, Nephews, etc), Mario Luna (Meals for Children, Nephews, Kingsley, Milk), Georgia Lill, Jane Kilcullen, and John Wiesenfeld opened for Fol Chen at the Echo on June 4 and luckily some very rad videos have surfaced of our personal favorite tune “Weak Will” (above) and the ever-dope “Soundlight” (below). These videos are not to be observed sitting down. Dim the lights, raise the volume, full screen, press play and inhale the essence. More Po-fo videos after the jump including a stunning perspective of “Soonest Moons.” [Post-foetus] will play FMLY’s Beach Dazed on July 28, yesterday we announced that Voxtrot will as well. More updates to come.

FMLY On Your Body

FMLY On Your Body is coming up and it’s time to get your tickets in advance! If you’ve missed our Facebook spam and our hints within posts the past few weeks, we’re presenting a fashion week event with The Bird and The Bee, Haim, [Post-foetus] and The Damn Sons.

The Bird and The Bee were recently on Ellen, the Jimmy Kimmel Show and will be playing Carnegie Hall on March 7. Haim are a trio of sisters – 16, 19 & 21 – who continue to just impress me with their talent, motivation and spirit. They were recently mentioned on MTV’s Buzz Worthy and a part of this amazing LA based group can be found playing with indie folk heir Jenny Lewis. The week of On Your Body, The Bird and The Bee will be performing live on KCRW’s Morning Becomes Eclectic, Haim will be on FMLY Radio and [Post-foetus] will perform on KXLU.

As you can see from the flyer, tickets are $15 at the door and $10 in advance. Facebook event is VOSS Water, presentations of upcoming fashion lines and models to gaze at for ages – so bring your A game! Also, check in for ticket giveaways and such…maybe even a chance to have dinner with your favorite FMLY writer?
