pablove across america

By now you are probably pretty familiar with the Pablove fundation. The story started with a six year old boy named Pablo who was being treated for cancer at Children’s Hospital in Los Angeles. Most people could never imagine what this is like but it involves a complete uncertainty of everything you know and believe every day and it’s affecting more people all the time. Pablo’s father Jeff Castelaz decided it was time to do something and created the Pablove foundation to help spread awareness and fund research to help Pablo and countless others in this struggle. On June 27, 2009 Pablo’s individual fight ended but Jeff continues on in his name to help people realize, this isn’t someone else’s problem. No one can afford to wait until this directly affects their lives. As the human race, this is a staggering problem we are all faced with.

This October Jeff will be biking across America to help raise funds and awareness for Childhood cancer. You can help by donating money or just spreading the know. You can find a donation form and the ride itinerary after the jump.

Join us this Thursday to support the Pablove Foundation at the Bootleg Theater for a night of good music for a good cause.

“The Pablove Foundation directly supports the pediatric cancer community in and around Childrens Hospital Los Angeles. CHLA is a not-for-profit, independent operation. They treat everyone, regardless of insurance status or ability to pay. In 2007, they treated over 93,000 children, and doled out $54 million in charitable care to children whose families were not able to pay for treatment, or who simply do not have insurance.”
