everything that shine ain’t always gonna be gold

If Drop Dead Fred mated with a Michel Gondry short they’d defs birth this alternate version of Kid Cudi’s music video for “Pursuit of Happiness”.  Watching this not only gave me a new appreciation for Kid Cudi as a lyricist, it also gave me vertigo!

Directed by Brody Baker, produced by Josh Hartnett and Alex Orlovsky. Peep the OG video here.

The Streets – Blinded by the Lights

This past weekend saw the Bay at it’s best — and by best I mean it was like being cuddled up between two gigantic breasts and peacefully bounced to sleep, all the while looking up at this face that was far beyond any sort of physical beauty.

Bears Make Love In This Club

Billy Bob the Showbiz Bear has made his long awaited appearance back into the spotlight. Not getting enough attention from that cameo in the MGMT video, Billy Bob has realized the stunt of fame in the world of indie and has moved on to something that I will admit I like a bit more…Usher. Check out the video above, Billy Bob fantastically covers “Love In This Club” featuring a Gorilla on the keys! I would love to see these guys make love in a club.

Just Shoes.

A superfan made Justice women’s dress shoes. If you know anything about this, enlighten me. For now I have no comment, I’m just a little bit speechless. What’s next, MGMT motorcycle gloves? Don’t get me wrong, I’m a fan of MGMT. It’s 5:10am, if you’re reading this, go to bed.

Beck’s Brand New Album

Beck has announced that he has finished recording a new album produced by Danger Mouse. These songs are supposedly a hybrid between experimental and pop classicism. Personal I am very excited for this new album and am even more excited for his September 20 show at the Hollywood Bowl. This will be his biggest home town show yet and (get this) he will be joined by Spoon and indie heart throbs MGMT. You can buy tickets now here. Here is a slower MGMT track that should be listened to on good speakers (as MGMT should always be).
