The store will open tomorrow and run through Friday hawking the White Stripes, the Raconteurs and the Dead Weather parafanalia. The festivities kick off at noon tomorrow with Jack White’s newest music project the Dead Weather playing a first come first serve show at the Regent. You could also stop by on Friday before bwr th nvsn with Anamanaguchi, TRS-80, Professor Calculus, and Neon Navajo.

I just got this one in the mail from the mysterious Philip Seymour Hoffman and it really couldn’t have come at a more exciting time. By now I’m sure that most of you have picked up Dan Deacon’s Bromst and have probably either worn the vinyl out, scratched the CD from bringing it car to car or have burnt out your computer from too many repeated plays. Needless to say, the album is inspiring, captivating from start to finish and a beautiful display of what happens when you get together with your FRNDS. Wham City, FMLY has always been full of huge appreciators and we always will be.
Back to PSH, this anonymous character sent over an arrangement of four parts from three Dan Deacon tracks off of Bromst with added keyboards and vocals. The outcome isn’t necessarily a rework as we saw with PSH’s take on Meals for Children’s “Geebot,” but a new perspective on a fresh album that is worth checking out.

FMLY Radio will be on Little Radio today with (hopefully for real this time) a live performance from [Post-foetus] and Este Haim from Haim (of course) will be dropping in as well. We got some new stuff today including new Dan Deacon and Este will be throwing down as well.

Today from 4pm-6pm LA time FMLY will be making it’s triumpant return to Little Radio. We will be ringing in the occasion with a live performance by [Post-foetus] who will be playing on March 14th at the Tricot showroom with The Bird and The Bee (Facebook page). We have a lot of backed up music so there might just be an explosion. Visit Little Radio to tune in.
noah’s comment: an accurate analogy to draw is in american pie 2 when jason biggs superglues himself to…himself. not being able to use himself by any means for that period of time led to lots of anxiety and self-introspection. not to spoil the movie or anything, but in the end he ends up inside of alyson hannigan rather than shannon elizabeth (who winds up with the shermanator). anyways, fmly radio today will be kinda like jason biggs if he had gone way of elizabeth – an explosion. as long as i’m on the subject…there was talk of a legit american pie 4, apparently as of January it has been confirmed, but don’t take my word for it. i don’t even know why i’m writing about this. go listen to the show, it’s on in an hour.

FMLY Radio is back on Little Radio from 4-6pm on Tuesdays. It’s been a while and Little Radio is now at a new location but as always you can expect a ton of new music, live sessions and special guests. If you are in a band and want to play on FMLY Radio, email me at cameron@thefmly.com.
With Halloween a little over a week away, I’ve decided it’s time to carefully consider my options of what to do on Halloween. There are a lot of tantalizing options. Here’s what I’m considering:

First of all FMLY favs Rumspringa are playing a Helluva show. Halloween Downtown starts at 8 and goes till I can’t dance anymore. Also I get $10 off just for dressing up on Halloween and it would give me a good reason to check out BOXeight.

Little Radio is having a truly ghoulish night where Autolux among others will be playing. There is also a haunted house (?!) and a costume contest. Knowing Little Radio, there will be plenty of surprises as well.

The bands that inspired the start of FMLY will be playing as some of their favorite bands featuring Nephews as Jimmy Eats World, and members of Yes Means No, Dracula Mountain and Bro Nameth.
With such great options, I’m just not sure what to do.

Tune in to Little Radio tomorrow from 10-12 for FMLY Radio. We will also be joined by special guests Monsters Are Waiting… who will be stopping by to play us some songs and talk about their new album Ones and Zeros out October 14th.
I Wanna Be Adored – Monsters Are Waiting…

Tomorrow FMLY Radio is back on Little Radio with special guests Rumspringa who will be stopping by for a live set. So tune in from 10-12.
Shake Em Loose – Rumspringa
Nephews played a live set on FMLY Radio (Little Radio) this morning, if you missed the show you can catch the mp3z when we post them. My memory is a bit shot, but the post-rock outfit played about a four or five song set that I more than enjoyed. From the song that started it all, “Chess Teacher,” to the newest of new, “Sorefinger Road,” Nephews played a powerhouse set of cutting edge music. If you did tune in and heard Luke’s proposal of “Drug Lips,” let the band know what you think through a MySpace message.

So I’m back in Los Angeles for a few months and this city will be shaken up like James Bond’s martini. First thing first, today (Thursday) is FREE ICED COFFEE DAY at Dunkin’ Donuts nationwide, so hit that up.
Also, don’t forget to tune into Littleradio.com today for FMLY, live beginning at 10am PST. We’re going to have a special lengthy episode filled with new music from all, or at least a lot of, your favorite artists.
The Morning Benders will be playing live on FMLY Radio on littleradio.com from 10-11 am. If you miss it, I’ll be updating all the podcasts tomorrow.

Over at Little Radio, the set times for the three day SXSW party were announced and I have to say I am pretty excited. If you are one of the unlucky people who aren’t going (including myself) don’t get down, you can watch all of the three day party online with streaming audio and video.
Again, the important details are that this is a free party presented by Little Radio, Noise Pop and Wolfgangs Vault, (no rsvp, badges or wristbands required) and there is free beer and bloody marys starting each day at 11am at the Red Eyed Fly (715 Red River). There will be an outside stage, an inside stage, 3 bars and a VIP area in the parking lot.Everyone should plan on getting there as early as you can, because like every year, we will be at capacity quick.
