It’s that time of the month again where we tear ourselves away from the computer screen, head out of our houses and into Mary Hotchkiss Park in Santa Monica of our monthly series Thank you, Come Again. As tradition goes, Thank you, Come again is outlet free fun where the artist and audience become the same and something unexpected always happens. The purpose of this event is to strip a concert experience to its birthday suit. We have a performer in their most vulnerable state, an audience, and communal activities for all! Nothing will be handled but good vibes.

Remember that when you come to a fmly event, you represent fmly. To those of you who come with substances please keep it to yourself and don’t be the guy that ruins the day for everyone. This is a FREE DAY SHOW in a public environment. Come on time because it gets chilly late in the day!
and of course BYOI (bring your own instruments):

There will be group jamming throughout the day. Bring your instruments and/ or whatever you have lying around your house. Washboards and tambourines encouraged.

The performances we are aware of include:
BATTLEHOOCH
Insects vs. Robots
Spring Queen
Jack Littman
Gabriela Maia (Static Crow)
Gray Tolhurst
Romulus
Presstones
Jules Verne
Moses Campbell
THINGS
The Magic Johnson
Little Spoon Desserts Truck will also be swinging by.

Over summer in Mary Hotchkiss Park in Santa Monica FMLY took to the outdoors for a day of bootleg slip ‘n’ slides, chillage and music. This wonderful day was called Thank You, Come Again. Well we had so much fun at the first one, that we figured it about time to Come Again. This Saturday it’s time again to grab your instruments, your crew and your park toys and head down towards the beach to Mary Hotchkiss Park for another full day of park fun. We encourage that you bring your own instruments, your bands, your friend’s bands and an open heart.

The purpose of this event is to strip a concert experience to its birthday suit. We have a performer in their most vulnerable state, an audience, and communal activities for all! nothing will be handled but good vibes.

abbot kinney festival sees fmly value

FMLY is ecstatic and honored to present our hometown neighborhood with our very own stage stage at the 25th anniversary of the Abbot Kinney Festival. We grew up attending this festival every year, Cameron’s parents once lived on Abbot Kinney and back in the day the street served as our skateboard highway for getting to the Windward Circle. We thank everyone who has made this possible, so come out and party!

If this is your first Abbot Kinney fest, it is FREE so come out and show support for the community while indulging in everything we have to offer. We will also be announcing something that we’re super pumped about as the date approaches.

FMLY House Show On Monday!

In our typical ‘getting-it-in-at-the-last-minute’ FMLY fashion, I’d like to announce the line-up and info for our House Party in Echo Park on Monday.

It’s Monday but you don’t have shit to do so head out to Echo Park for a FREE house show! Don’t worry, we’ll have you out in time to catch Magic Johnson at the Smell.

On January 10, MillerCoors LLC will stop production on SPARKS because of its under-the-drinking-age appeal. Because of this, FMLY is showing our appreciation with an all out house show with some of our favorite bands. The event is BYOB, however, if we see anyone drinking Mickeys or Ballentine you may be asked to leave- if you’re going to drink a 40 then do it right with a Colt 45 or an Old E, don’t be a bitch.

Also, please respect the home, it belongs to a dear friend of ours. And if you have not already, MAKE SURE TO LOOK AT THE START AND END TIME OF THE DAY. This will be an ‘early’ show, but if you’d like to party into the night then let us know because there is a super secret event happening Monday night.

Performances by:
Spider Problem
[Post-foetus]
EXITmusic
Rock Dove/Pilgrim
Jack Littman

It all starts THIS MONDAY, January 5 from 4pm until 10pm. For more information please visit our fbook event here.

Jack Littman at The Knitting Factory

On November 20 a pretty monumental event will take place. Cameron Rath and Jack Littman will play together at The Knitting Factory in Hollywood for what is anticipated to be one fucking incredible night of inspiring and passionate music. Jack’s first performance was at the FMLY Backyard Extravaganza over summer and he blew me away with his lyrics of genuine honesty and a complementing guitar. For all who were there, I was in tears when his girlfriend Kate surprised him and came back from Europe early to catch the show…yeah, it was that emotional. This isn’t to be missed, tickets are $12 and you can find out more information here.

I don’t mean to ruin any soon-to-be surprises coming from FMLY, but take a gander over here and get excited. This is only the beginning. Once again, I can not stress this enough, if you have any interest in helping out we can use you. Send an email to cameron@thefmly.com or noah@thefmly.com and just let us know what your skills are – we have work for you!
