never say cant

If you’re trying to converse on the limitations and structure of reason itself then you’re barking up the wrong tree, maybe? Who knows, maybe Chris Taylor is an undercover Kant scholar.

Getting back to the subject, Grizzly dude Chris Taylor has got some new digs along the lines of balancing on the railroad tracks at night. Combining his Grizzly experience with the endless talent of his ‘multi-instrumentalism’ comes CANT, a landscape of evocative gestures so seductive I wish they were personal innuendos. This tunes comes as gorgeous as they get, I think it’s all due to those amazing shorts he’s always rocking. You can place “Ghosts” in your record collection buy coping the CANT/Arthur Russell split 7″ available here (limited to 1000)!

Pre-Order Veckatimest On Vinyl

Just got an email from Insound to let you all know that you can now pre-order the new Grizzly Bear album, Veckatimest, on vinyl. Nico Muhly – who composed The Reader soundtrack – contributes to the album as well as Beach House d.a.r.l.i.n.g. Victoria Legrand. If you want some grizzy bee in the meantime, multi-instrumentalist Chris Taylor (not this guy) plays sax on Beirut’s “On A Bayonet,” hot off the March of the Zapotec press. Beach House and Grizzly Bear play SXSW in three weeks, FMLY will be in attendance partying our booties off with The Death Set, Spank Rock, Japanther, and everyone else we love. Big ups to our boys at The Tape, when I google’d Veckatimest they were up top just under P4k.

Just to remind you all of the genius of GB, Dan Rossen’s “Two Weeks” keyboard part is a total cop from “Still D.R.E.” Videos after the jump.
