holy cow! this kid is amazing! aside from being a total cutie and a member of one of my favorite bands, totally nebular, he’s got this wacky fucking awesome solo project called tree hopping. apparently he made all the sounds on his new record, the beat band, with his sampler? i mean, i don’t really get it cause it sounds like a bunch of chimpanzees playing drums and jangling guitars at the best party in the world. this is rapidly becoming my new favorite record. when i’m sitting at my table in freezing cold wisconsin, making my morning potatoes, i listen to this and imagine i’m back in florida. where nobody cries and everything is warm and sounds like dreams.
