Spacer Ace are the half-stoked half-post apocalyptic breakdown towards insanity tunes coming from our homies in Ohio, Joe Boyer and Teej Duke, plus their pals Wes and Crouton [hope that's not just a nickname]. Their intimate cassette Easy Like A Gentleman was self-released earlier this year and dubbed over old tapes probably picked up at the salvation army or found in trashcans in the surrounding Cleveland area. Their sounds are close, sometimes breathing down your neck, but their intentions are genuine beautiful discomfort. According to Van Gogh Round Records, “Spacer Ace was birthed by a harley riding lesbian to her paramour Zeus. They write fast and furious. They record even faster. They party even faster than that. However they generally can’t post bail very quickly.” We love these boys. You might know these gnarly thrashers better as 2/4 of the jam masters Cloud Nothings footclan, taking ranks on guitar and bass, so next time you see ‘em make sure you let them know what’s really goin’ on.
