Tomorrow night at the Cake Shop (NY), FMLY’s Philip Seymour Hoffman is opening for Sholi and The Answering Machine. Show starts at 8, PSH goes on right at 8:30. Word on the street is that he’s playing through a new set for the first time, bringing the jams. Here’s a tune that just went up on the myspace and PSH requested that if anyone out there is pals with Natalie Portman to please sing this to her in a Mexican restaurant with a rose in your ear and a boomboox (not from urban outfitters, go to the salvation army) behind you. He also said something along the lines of he’s about to hit 100 downloads on his Fire Island tape so to keep downloading and thank you. edit: his casio ta-10 that he’s had since he was a tot just died and it’s super depressing. rip babe.
