Total Slacker are a band out of Santa Fe and Salt Lake City by way of Brooklyn sportin’ the classy Tucker Rountree on guitar, the sassy Emily Oppenheimer on bass and the mondo rad Condor on drums…I’m not too swell at rhymes these days, forgive me Ross. Turning up the reverb until you can’t tell if the banter between songs is still the last tune, the ‘slacks are writing uber catchy melodies and the occasional true story about video store rental bros, pandas and basically being way chill. After only a handful of shows under their belts I’m proud to say that our pals have a string of shows coming up with Talk Normal, US Girls, Frat Dad and Pterodactyl – hopefully Tucker will be rocking that beauty of a Noah’s Ark sweater pictured above. If you have some time tonight in New York, Total Slacker are playing the Cake Shop at 8:30 followed by beers and other recreational activities at my place.
