fuck anything that has ever intentionally come in the way of happiness. do what you want to do and be who you want to be. “the fact that we cannot manage to achieve more than an unstable grasp of reality doubtless gives the measure of our present alienation” (roland barthes). this is a crucial time in developing the myth that will certainly become our future. we’re young and ignorantly opinionated, but we can use this advantageously to learn from the ideologies of past generations. we will refuse to become inoculated and we will destroy the privatization of history for we know that “all that is solid melts into air” (karl marx) and realize that the road which we follow only leads to a pitfall – the view from hubbert’s peak says a thousand words but is not a kodak moment. a time has come and gone when our actions could have been ‘corrected,’ but as of yesterday we must each take responsibility for what lies today. as ralph waldo emerson said, “do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.”
