if the whole world is shakin’

“The four horsemen don’t cause the apocalypse. After all they’ve been riding for centuries, hanging over our heads. They merely symbolize what life on earth is already like. They show us why we need an apocalypse.” - Alan Moore, Promethea

What with all the hubbub about tsunamis and earthquakes recently, I find my mind longing for the days when the world was just a Pangaean super-continent, ya know?

It’s during these trying times that I turn to the effluent chirpings of Pangea, whose refreshingly idealistic indie pop washes all my worries away. Props to Griznar Music Collective, their San Fernando Valley based record label – they really do sound like “a desert fire near a rosebush the morning after you discovered you’re still alive…”

  • plus if the four horsemen actually came one day wouldn’t we know a few weeks in advance? i mean, they’re on horseback and we have cell phones and internet. warn the east coast, tell ‘em to drive a state over and everything will be chill for another month.
