where the wild jams are

If you haven’t already caught this darling gem from Karen O in the kids it’s featured on the Where The Wild Things Are MySpace as well as in the start of the trailer above. As someone whose interest in the Yeah Yeah Yeahs’ recent musical endeavors hasn’t been too high (still hoping that will change and the live show is still incredible) it’s a great support to know that Karen O will always be one of the most gifted women I could hope to meet one day. Brilliantly innocent, as with her K.O. At Home tape, I couldn’t let you get through the week without checking this out just once. And here’s a little something extra for ya:

Karen O – Pumpkin
Karen O – Beside Me

Can’t help but appreciate this jam from jj of the Sincerely Yours family. Sampling Lil Wayne’s Lollipop in a much tastier fashion while mixing and mashing a 50 Cent patented lyrical styling, “Ecstasy” just kind of makes you think ‘wtf’ while spinning jj n° 2.

jj – ecstasy (via said the gramophone)

“You’re A Target,” the closing track from No Age’s forthcoming Losing Feeling EP via SubPop. Weird. Really weird. Like the kind of music that No Age would write after going on tour with Dan Deacon and Deerhunter, WADDUP! Still rocks, total jammer, get it on.

No Age – You’re A Target

ps. sorry for the brevity
