For as long as I can remember, we as the American people have watched ourselves drown in the privatization of our society. Oil companies jack up the price of gas based on speculation and people continue to drive cars. Earlier this year our government bailed out the banks. While people were talking about the threat of socialism, our privatized banks were given our money and Goldman Sachs reached all time highs less than a year after getting $10 billion in US rescue funds. This country was supposed to be by the people for the people but somewhere along the line, we decided to put on blindfolds, get cozy in our Snuggie’s and let big companies look after ever aspect in our lives. Even our government has been bought and privatized. Why is it that our country is in finical distress yet there are record profits? It’s time that we toss aside our Coke Zeros, heave ourselves out of our Lazyboys and “I’m not going to take it anymore!”. Why should our federal money be controlled by private companies? Why should we have to fight wars for new oil lines? The privatization of America has to stop if we want to be free. The World Bank estimated the world’s water supply at $800 billion. We have to draw a line. Drinking water is a necessity, not a right. It’s time we start acting. These aren’t left or right issues; These are human issues.

Check out this great new movie about the water industry and start making changes in your own life.
