Everything about Brooklyn-Austin anonymous collaborative band Neon Indian seems to ooze mystery- discovered via word of mouth, and a myspace page irritatingly bare of any (incriminating?) information- it even lacks the names of the brilliant two responsible for the music. In fact, the only substantial photograph on their myspace is a scanned polaroid of a curly haired dude peeking appealingly out from behind a KORG mini-piano. Could this be one of the elusive members? Maybe, but we’ll never know; rather than interpreting this as a metaphoric snub of the fan base, I prefer to think that the duo would like to have to music stand alone, uninfluenced by outside judgements. I say, more power to them- their music is definitely good enough to get away with a little bit of pretension.

edit: The cat’s out of the bag! The two members are Alan Palomo of Ghosthustler fame, and Brooklyn video artist Alicia Scardetta. Still, it’s the thought that counts.

one member is alan palomo aka VEGA (ex-ghosthustler)
