From her indie-pop teenage heartbreak project Bethany Sharayah to the more emotionally absent and drug appealing sounds of the original Pocahaunted to the ripe and California-driven sounds of Best Coast, Bethany Cosentino has quite a roster of expressionally-potent projects…and they’re all dope.
Inspired by Bethany’s longing for Los Angeles while spending her days in NY attending Eugene Lang College (where I may or may not attend as well) Best Coast sprung forth during her first days back in California. Some laptop recorded tunes and a few email exchanges with Bobb Bruno later, who lent his hand at Pocahaunted’s Passages, Best Coast went official. Now with some summer shows and a 7″ coming out on Art Fag it looks at though Best Coast is the next legit phase in the sonic experience of Bethany’s 22-or-so years of being. We offer you the best of wishes, and come play a show with us sometime! And make sure to peep L.A.’s pearl harbour, Bethany will be hittin’ up the Smell on August 1 with them and we’re fans.
Best Coast – In My Room
Best Coast – Sun Was High (So Was I)
and another great tune by another great female titled “in my room”
The Blow – In My Room

Thanks a lot for these.
