Deakin has really pulled his own with the Animal Collective name this year. Here’s the full version of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs “Zero” as retold by Animal Collective. Like walking through the vacant subway tunnels underneath New York City, “Zero” takes on a reverberated code of language. Pitch-shifted vocals and jungle’d grime’d tropical dub sets this track as its own creation, not suited for a dancefloor but not suited for the bedroom. Coincidentally (?), the remix is the exact same length as the original. If it’s not raining, pop it into your iPod and go on an adventure.
