Her Space Holiday Studio Show w/ PCP

The following post is borrowed from the Poketo Blog, but due to its direct content it should be of interest to many passing through these parts of the internet. I coincidentally had a conversation about Her Space Holiday earlier this morning, and although I’ve found it more difficult to connect with Bianchi’s music the past couple of years it’s difficult to turn down a chance to catch the guy doing his thang…especially when PCP is involved. Highly recommended event, catch all the info after the jump!

Her Space Holiday – Japanese Gum

Art has always provoked music, and music has always provoked art. Tokyo based illustrator and designer, PCP and Marc Bianchi of Her Space Holiday are prime examples of this. Both artists will come together at the Poketo Studio for a rare showing of their collaborative works. Beginning at 7:00 PM, Her Space Holiday will perform music with visuals done by PCP. A Q&A session will follow the performance moderated by Cornelia Von Hasselbach of German Magazine, Spare. From 7:30 PM an artshow featuring PCP’s original work and party will kick off the rest of the evening into happy oblivion. As long time collaborators with PCP, Poketo will release two signature wallets, a mug, and a tee shirt designed by the artist. Artists in attendance will be available for signing throughout the night. It’s going to be a fun night, so don’t miss out!

PCP, a long time collaborator with Pokeo is based currently in Tokyo, Japan and works as freelance illustrator/designer. He has done numerous works with Poketo including the Digest Your Life Planner, Yarn and Needle Plate Set, and a great print. He has worked on various projects for companies like Honda, Sony Music Entertainment, Kenzo Parfums, Joie de Vivre group. PCP has been involved in various music projects, creating cover illustrations for bands like trespassers william, Grand Hallway and Her Space Holiday.

Her Space Holiday began in 1996 by Marc Bianchi. Bianchi was involved in such bands as Indian Summer and Mohinder before assuming the moniker ”Her Space Holiday.” The band has released several full length albums, singles and EPs, and a remix album. HSH has toured with Bright Eyes, The Faint, Pinback, Bob Mould, The American Analog Set, Lymbyc Systym and others.

  • Im not really a big fan of Nascar racing, and neither is my husband. Our son who is 6 years old is a die hard Nascar fan. Don’t ask me were he go this from, but anyways I am sick of watching it on TV thats for sure. My only solution is this Carrera 1/43 NASCAR set of tracks that includes everything my little rugrat needs to play and watch his nascars somewhere else besides the TV. My question for anyone that has it already. Does it really keep your kid busy? Thats the only reason I got it, since he has a TV addiction, and if I replace it with the Carrera Slot car track I figured it would be a nice alternative for not only me but the rest of the poor souls in my household that have to put up with the hamster cage track racing event we call a sport lol!
