There are many things you can do with a dub. Some of the most innovative, you can say, is the Dublab, Hyperdub or overdub so you can watch your favorite films in Spanish. Get your heels on, lather up and come out to see Kode9 and Flying Lotus at the Echoplex this Friday, April 10th.
We have two pairs of tickets to give away, so send me an email at randy@thefmly.com and hollah at a chance to win a pair of tickets for you and another. Or whatever.
noah’s beat: it’s a huge honor to have these tickets. without the passion and hard work that kode9 brings to dubstep we would be missing out on such a rich field of music. thank you hyperdub, you’ll forever be one of fmly’s favorite labels. and long live burial!
i was lucky enough to catch flying lotus last summer at the east village radio music festival and i can attest that he put on one of the most genuine shows i’ve caught in the realm of body shaking. unveiling his radiohead remix to a crowd of hundreds and chiming in to talk about his show with daedelus that weekend, flying lotus is a must see to complement kode9’s you-must-know-about-him aesthetic.
here’s a flying lotus joint featuring daedelus’ mysterious darlington, laura.
