I mentioned FMLY pal, and the MySpaceless, ECK$ a few posts back when talking about the album art for the Black Lips‘ latest, 200 Million Thousand. Taking a sharp vocal sample of Lil’ Wayne uttering “Bitch, I’m The Boss” and constructing pillars of bedroom beats underneath it on Ableton Live, ECK$ ends up developing a catchy beat with some pretty dope context in a live setting. If you’re looking for a playful, club-friendly remix I highly recommend this as well as our boy DJDT’s remix of “A Milli.” No lies, these two tracks are the best-suited Weezy remixes to my taste, but I’d like to here what you all think.

As long as I’m posting, I’d like to toss up my favorite remix of the year thus far. I don’t keep my hardcore love for Ninjasonik a secret, and I would be lying if I said I wasn’t head over heels for Matt & Kim. As if last year’s Ninjasonik remix of “Silver Tiles” wasn’t dank enough, our Brooklyn homies have released a spot-on remix of “Daylight” that I’ve had on repeat for who knows how long. “Daylight” video /*@cc_on @*/ /*@if (@_win32) document.write("

I think a remix a lot of people haven’t, partially due to the lack of distribution, is this dude Young Frank’s version of A Milli. The dude is definitely talented. He reminds me of an Eminem but with the wordplay of Lil Wayne or something like that. He resembles the older style of Eminem, with more punchlines and less of the crazy voices.
He posted it on his website, I think that this should go as one of the best remixes you never heard.
