No Age Get Fucked Up, Fever Ray Doesn’t

“This. Remix. Is. As. Epic. As. The. First. Time. I. Saw. Sunlight.”
- 7″ cover

Maybe it’s that love is blind and anything No Age touches is Midas in my eyes, but their remix of Fucked Up’s “Epiphany” will have you floored. In almost an orchestral nature, Randy and Dean build lush scenes of dialogue between Concentration Camp’s vocals, and No Age’s unique approach to whatever is placed in front of them. On a scale from club cuts to intellectual jams this ranks along with Deakin (Animal Collective) remixing Ratatat – take that as you wish, just download the tune.

For the record, this was taken from Fucked Up’s No Epiphany 7″ which came out this week via Matador. No digital release, buy it here.

As if Karin Andersson (The Knife/Honey Is Cool/Fever Ray) needed one more reason to be so appealing, she has attracted a remix by none other than Lissvik from the Swedish balearic duo, Studio. The panpipes and children’s playground samples were a great touch on this enthralling version of “When I Grow Up.” Pre-order Fever Ray’s self-titled here.
