Phantogram Everywhere

Phantogram have a such a great potential to be huge I’m almost worried. I enjoy their music so much that I don’t want to hear it all over the radio and I don’t want to hear it on TV – so I’m crossing my fingers that they define success through a cult following. Separated from the pack by Joshua Carter’s organic textures and Sarah Barthel’s soft leading voice I’m reminded of Monsters Are Waiting from back in the day. Like every other band in the world, you can catch Phantogram all over SXSW or in NY on April 2 with the Cave Singers, The Antlers, and Miles Benjamin Anthony Robinson.

unrelated: if you’re reading this in New York I’ll be DJ’ing tonight at Sweet Revenge in BKLYN with my boy George Ellroy. More info here, facebook event here.
